Contact: bill@billscottguitar.com Bill has taught guitar for 11 years, privately from his home and online for The Sam Ash Music Institute from 2005-2007. Since Bill was fourteen years old, he has been teaching students guitar, while studying himself, preparing for his career at Berklee and as a professional musician. Each student, of course, has their own needs and goals and Bill always has adapted to help his students achieve what they wanted. He has taught blues, Jazz, Metal, Rock and Country. “I love teaching people how to play the guitar. It has been the most influential experience in my life. I know how music can make people feel, help them and just how much fun it is. Of all the work I do in the industry it is still one of the most rewarding to be able to pass on the joy of playing.” While taking lessons with Bill you will cover the following;
Bill’s Guitar Career Highlights include: Session work with his friend and talented artist Jack Dill at Drumroll Records featuring notables Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and Nathan East (Eric Clapton). Guitar teched for Linda Perry’s (Christina Aguilera) newly signed duo Little Fis. Within his first few months in LA he played guitar for Marcus Brown (Madonna) on various sessions. Bill also played for an up and coming artist, Yulianna, with Dave Schulz on keys (Goo Goo Dolls, Berlin.) He also has provided engineering and guitar services to the R&B GROUP Xcedera, who were recently featured on BET, and are produced by Mary J Blige’s, engineer Devine Evans. From 2005-2007 Bill was an online guitar instructor for the Sam Ash Music institute. Also, performances at the Massachusetts and New Jersey Metal Festivals with his former critically acclaimed band Eviscerate, and winning an award for Outstanding Soloist at the Music Showcase Jazz Festival in Williamsburg, Virginia.Being a Berklee graduate with over 14 years of performing experience Bill can take your guitar playing skills from the classroom to the stage.
